         The Next generation gives Bathgate A.O.S. a new dimension with this inaugural production. It was pleasing to be present at it's birth. We could not, however, determine who were enjoying themselves most, the cast, audience or the band. The "Return To The Forbidden Planet" was indeed a fitting first. The energy, enthusiasm and talent displayed augers well for the future. As the cast looked tailor made for their respective parts - it would be inappropriate to single out any one performer - all were excellent. The Producer, Musical Director and the entire company, as well as the band, should feel justly proud of their endeavours. We wholeheartedly endorse the plaudits given at the finale, especially to the company secretary (Ian Sloan) - his effort ensured there is a Next Generation. Bathgate have done the hard bit, establishing this group who showed experience beyond their young years. With a shortened time scale of only four weeks, due to production difficulties, we eagerly await next year's production with anticipation. Congratulations and well done all.
